Centralized managed worktrees under <state-dir>/worktrees/<repo-fingerprint>/<name>
with branch-per-task (openclaw/<name>), .worktreeinclude provisioning, an optional
.openclaw/worktree-setup.sh repo hook, and a SQLite registry in the shared state DB.
Removal always snapshots the tree (untracked included, gitignored excluded) to
refs/openclaw/snapshots/<id>; restore rebuilds the branch at the original commit with
the snapshot content as uncommitted state. Lossless run-end cleanup, 7-day idle GC for
run-owned worktrees (manual exempt), orphan reconciliation, 30-day snapshot retention.
Surfaces: worktrees.* gateway RPC (operator.admin mutations), openclaw worktrees CLI,
Control UI page, plugin-SDK facade + Workboard kind:"worktree" materialization.
E2E-verified on Testbox: full create->work->remove->restore->gc lifecycle.
* feat: add session thread management
Squash of codex/thread-management (025aefc3ad1) onto origin/main:
pin/archive/rename sessions via sessions.patch, archived-aware
sessions.list, lifecycle fencing, read-only archived chat, SDK +
Swift protocol support, Control UI session management.
* refactor(ui): minimal session rows with hover-revealed management
Chat picker and sidebar recents share session-row primitives: single-line
rows, relative timestamps, rename/archive/pin revealed on hover or focus,
accent pin badge for pinned rows, and an active-run spinner in the trail
slot. Sidebar floats pinned sessions above recency via the shared
comparator and gains archive/pin actions through the unified sessions-view
patch fallback. Archive eligibility is one shared policy
(canArchiveSessionRow); the sidebar/picker active-run tooltip now uses the
real sessionsView.activeRun locale key.
* fix: align session admission with mailbox-era main
Integration fixes after rebasing onto current main: sessions_list mailbox
test expectations learn the archived/pinned row fields and archived:false
list param; gateway agent admission treats a session as deleted only when
both the requested and canonical alias sets miss it (legacy bare-main
stores and exec-approval followups read under different spellings); cron
persist tests keep a consistent store across claim-guarded persist calls;
the ACP abort hook test asserts abort propagation instead of signal
identity; drop dead lifecycle writes flagged by no-useless-assignment and
fix the promise-executor return in the codex compact test.
* fix(qa): align UI e2e and shard fixtures with redesigned session rows
Sidebar session rows are wrapper divs with an inner link now: update the
navigation browser tests and chat-flow Playwright selectors. Seed a real
per-test session store for the auto-fallback admission guard instead of
depending on leftover host files at /tmp/sessions.json. Teach the
test-projects routing fixture about the suites that newly import the
shared temp-dir helper. Document the Codex thread-format contract for
archivedAt/pinnedAt (flag derived from server-stamped timestamp, epoch ms
here vs Codex epoch seconds) at the type and in the session docs.
* test: route auto-fallback suite through temp-dir helper plans
The auto-fallback suite now imports the shared temp-dir helper for its
seeded session store, so the top-level helper routing fixture must list
it in the auto-reply plan.
* fix(plugins): plugin loggers drop writes after the log level is raised at runtime
The plugin runtime logging facade captured a single tslog child logger per
getChildLogger() call. tslog snapshots a sublogger's min level at creation, so a
long-lived plugin logger (e.g. a channel monitor that runs for the whole gateway
session) kept dropping debug/verbose writes after the log level was raised at
runtime, even though shouldLogVerbose()/isFileLogLevelEnabled() reported the new
level. This made channels like Mattermost go dark while core subsystem loggers
(which re-resolve per emit) kept logging.
Resolve the child logger per call so it always reflects the current level, with a
cheap isFileLogLevelEnabled pre-gate (skipped for explicit overrides) to avoid
building a sublogger when the level is disabled. Fixes every channel that holds a
long-lived monitor logger (mattermost, matrix, msteams, irc, nextcloud-talk) at
the facade boundary with no plugin-code changes.
* test(plugins): type runtime log-level mock

Move Zalo hosted outbound media metadata and expiry into plugin state, add SDK chunked hosted media storage, and keep CI/type/lint gates green after rebase.
* fix: add timeout to waitForWaConnection to prevent indefinite hangs
If Baileys fails to emit a 'connection.update' event with either 'open'
or 'close' status (e.g. due to network issues or internal errors), the
waitForWaConnection promise hangs forever, blocking the entire monitor
loop.
Add a configurable timeout (default 60s) that rejects the promise and
cleans up the event listener if no connection state is received in time.
The timeout is backward-compatible as an optional parameter with a
sensible default.
* test: add coverage for waitForWaConnection timeout path
- Test that promise rejects with descriptive error after timeout
- Test that event listener is cleaned up after timeout
- Test that timer is cleared when connection opens before timeout
* fix: default timeoutMs to 0 to preserve QR login behavior
The 60s default broke the QR login flow in login-qr.ts, which calls
waitForWaConnection without a timeout and expects to wait up to 3 minutes
while the user scans. Change the default to 0 (wait forever, matching
original behavior) and pass the 60s timeout explicitly at the monitor
callsite where it's actually needed.
* fix: bound whatsapp connection startup waits
* fix: align web channel wait contract
* fix: retry whatsapp setup timeouts
* fix: satisfy whatsapp status lint
* fix: preserve whatsapp wait compatibility

Preserve task and TaskFlow durability by persisting before in-memory registry mutation and surfacing explicit persistence failures instead of reporting fake success.
Adds non-throwing try-create runtime helpers while keeping existing throwing public create APIs compatible. Maintainer follow-up keeps task/TaskFlow sync repair bounded, prevents split task/delivery-state writes, and keeps CI green on the current base.
Thanks @Feelw00.
Extract shared normalization/coercion helpers into private @openclaw/normalization-core workspace package while preserving existing plugin SDK helper subpaths.\n\nAlso keeps direct normalization-core imports internal, wires UI/build/loader resolution, and replaces the slow PR network CodeQL lane with a fast added-line boundary scan while retaining full CodeQL for scheduled/manual runs.\n\nVerification: local moved tests, plugin SDK boundary tests, extension loader tests, agents-support shard, UI build/test, build artifacts, lint, workflow guards, autoreview, and GitHub CI passed on PR head 963d893715.
* perf(plugins): thread metadata snapshot and discovery through hot paths
With the snapshot memo now actually hitting, route the snapshot's
manifestRegistry and discovery through the helper chains that already
had fast paths for them. Eliminates redundant per-call rebuilds at
two big amplifiers.
- Provider resolve paths (resolvePluginProviders /
isPluginProvidersLoadInFlight / resolveOwningPluginIdsForProvider /
resolveExternalAuthProfilesWithPlugins) self-service a snapshot once
at the public entry, then thread it as a separate required arg
through resolvePluginProviderLoadBase,
resolveExplicitProviderOwnerPluginIds, and the setup/runtime load
state helpers. Inner reads change from
'params.pluginMetadataSnapshot?.x' to 'snapshot.x', no more
enrichedParams clone. loadPluginManifestRegistryForInstalledIndex
fires drop ~685 -> ~10 per cold start.
- Bundled-channel / auto-enable chain accepts an optional
PluginDiscoveryResult. discoverOpenClawPlugins is fired once during
snapshot building (resolveInstalledPluginIndexRegistry already
produced it internally; now bubbled up through
loadInstalledPluginIndexWithDiscovery, PluginRegistrySnapshotResult,
and onto PluginMetadataSnapshot.discovery). load-context reads
metadataSnapshot.discovery and passes it through
applyPluginAutoEnable, so the bundled-channel cascade
(collectConfiguredChannelIds, listBundledChannelIdsWith*,
listPotentialConfiguredChannelPresenceSignals) short-circuits
instead of each leaf re-firing discovery. Persisted-cache path is
unchanged: no discovery on the snapshot, downstream chain handles
its own fallback (pre-PR behavior on that path).
* test(plugins): isolate snapshot memo across tests that mock manifest registry
The snapshot memo is now process-scoped and effective (~98% hit rate).
Three test files were depending on cache misses (because the broken
cache returned them) — each test would set up its own
loadPluginManifestRegistry mock and expect a fresh derive. With the
cache fixed, an earlier test's mocked registry now leaks into later
tests in the same file.
- io.write-config.test.ts: afterEach now clears the snapshot memo so
the 'demo' plugin mocked in the first test does not survive into
'keeps shipped plugin install config records when index migration
fails', which expects an empty registry to surface the 'plugin not
found: demo' warning.
- gateway/model-pricing-cache.ts: resetGatewayModelPricingCacheForTest
also clears the memo. Tests in model-pricing-cache.test.ts assert
loadPluginManifestRegistryForInstalledIndex was called; the memo
hit otherwise skips the call.
- providers.test.ts: vi.doMock loadPluginMetadataSnapshot to wrap the
existing loadPluginManifestRegistryMock fixture. The plumbing
commit added an auto-fetch fall-through in
resolveOwningPluginIdsForProvider; without the mock, providers
tests hit real disk reads and return empty registries (which is
what surfaced as 9 unrelated-looking failures in the prior CI
run).
* fix(plugins): preserve setup.cliBackends owner matching in provider scan
resolveOwningPluginIdsForProvider now also checks plugin.setup?.cliBackends.
The pre-PR no-registry fallback used resolvePluginContributionOwners which
includes both top-level cliBackends and setup.cliBackends; the PR's manifest
scan replacement was missing the setup case.
* fix(plugins): inherit active registry workspaceDir before loading metadata snapshot
isPluginProvidersLoadInFlight and resolvePluginProviders now resolve
env and workspaceDir once at the entry point (falling back to
getActivePluginRegistryWorkspaceDir) and pass them into both
loadPluginMetadataSnapshot and resolvePluginProviderLoadBase. Pre-fix
the snapshot used params.workspaceDir raw while the load base inherited
the active workspace, so workspace-scoped provider plugins could be
absent from the snapshot manifest registry even though owner resolution
expected them.
Regression test asserts the snapshot mock receives the active
workspaceDir when the caller omits it.
* perf(gateway): thread discovery into applyPluginAutoEnable call sites
Every gateway applyPluginAutoEnable call now passes the snapshot's
PluginDiscoveryResult so the bundled-channel cascade (collectConfiguredChannelIds
→ listBundledChannelIdsWith* → listPotentialConfiguredChannelPresenceSignals)
short-circuits instead of each leaf re-firing discovery.
Startup-time sites pull discovery from the snapshot/lookup-table they already
hold:
- server-plugin-bootstrap.ts (pluginLookUpTable)
- server-startup-plugins.ts (pluginMetadataSnapshot)
- server-startup-config.ts (pluginMetadataSnapshot)
- server-plugins.ts (pluginLookUpTable, both call sites)
Per-RPC sites (server.impl getRuntimeConfig callback, server-methods/channels
status + start handlers, server-methods/send) source discovery via
getCurrentPluginMetadataSnapshot using the runtime config to validate
compatibility. Falls through to the original slow path when the snapshot is
absent or incompatible.
normalizeAllowedModelRef() and the resolved override ref interpolated
${provider}/${model} after normalizeModelRef(), so a provider-qualified
model id like openrouter/gpt-5.4-mini surfaced as
openrouter/openrouter/gpt-5.4-mini in the allowlist set and policy
denial message, masking the actionable model ref.
Route both sites through modelKey() (src/agents/model-ref-shared.ts)
so the provider segment is collapsed when the model id already starts
with it. Add regression tests covering allowlist hit and denial paths
for the OpenRouter shape.
Fixes#84887
Keep derived plugin metadata snapshots out of the process memo/current snapshot cache so newly added plugins under derived discovery paths are found without restart.
Adds installRecords to PluginLoadOptions and PluginRuntimeLoadContext so
callers that already hold a PluginMetadataSnapshot can pass the snapshot's
in-memory records instead of forcing each downstream loader to re-read
installs.json. resolvePluginRuntimeLoadContext extracts the records from
the snapshot via extractPluginInstallRecordsFromInstalledPluginIndex,
buildPluginRuntimeLoadOptionsFromValues forwards them, and the setup +
runtime provider load paths in providers.runtime.ts pass them through
from params.pluginMetadataSnapshot. resolvePluginLoadCacheContext uses
the threaded records (falling back to the sync read) and
loader-provenance now uses params.installRecords ?? sync-read instead of
always reading and overlaying.
