2bb79d10fd feat: parents get durable state-change notices when humans interact with child sessions (#104636) 
* feat(sessions): durable session state events with parent invalidation

Parents no longer act on stale child-session state: a durable, typed
signal log (session_state_events + per-agent heads) records direct human
messages to children, child spawn/terminal outcomes, goal changes, and
compaction at the seams where those facts are created. A frozen-watermark
cursor protocol (session_watch_cursors) delivers one coalesced system
notice to the parent through the existing system-event + heartbeat wake
idiom, acknowledged at the shared generic drain, with a deferred startup
sweep for restart recovery. session_status gains stateVersion and
changesSince (with exact pruned-history gap signaling); sessions_list
rows gain stateVersion.

* fix(agents): apply stale-run liveness to aborted subagent orphan recovery

Skip stale unended subagent runs during orphan recovery and registry
restore, even when they carry abortedLastRun. Previously, restart-aborted
runs were exempt from the stale-unended age check, allowing hours-old
aborted child sessions to be resurrected after long downtime.

don't remain orphaned in the registry.

1cca70940c fix: hide sessions_spawn timeout overrides 
Remove model-facing per-call timeout overrides from sessions_spawn while keeping operator-controlled timeout behavior through agents.defaults.subagents.runTimeoutSeconds.

Reject stale camelCase and snake_case timeout arguments, update ACP/native timeout propagation, refresh docs and prompt snapshots, and cap ACP runtime option timeouts to the ACP control-plane maximum without shortening gateway dispatch or registry tracking.

3fc0df953c refactor(agents): bind subagent threads in core (#88416) 
Move subagent thread binding ownership into core so session-mode spawns prepare channel bindings before launching the child agent. Deprecate the legacy subagent_spawning SDK hook in code, compatibility metadata, diagnostics, and plugin docs; plugin authors should observe subagent_spawned instead.

6950e85605 fix(agents): allow hyphenated subagent task names 
Allow `sessions_spawn.taskName` to accept lowercase hyphenated task slugs while keeping the existing underscore support and invalid-name rejection. Update the tool schema, system prompt wording, docs, focused tests, and generated prompt snapshots so the user/model-facing contract matches the validator.

The sub-agents doc was 412 lines of dense bullet lists describing
spawn behavior, tool params, thread binding flow, allowlist rules,
auto-archive behavior, announce semantics, and the sessions_history
sanitization pipeline.

Restructure for scan-first reading without losing reference detail:

- Move spawn-behavior bullets into an AccordionGroup with four
  panels (Non-blocking + push-based; Manual-spawn delivery
  resilience; Completion handoff metadata; Modes and ACP runtime).
- Convert sessions_spawn tool params into ParamField definitions so
  type/default/required render visually.
- Wrap the thread-binding flow in a Steps component (spawn -> bind
  -> route -> inspect timeouts -> detach).
- Convert manual thread controls into a 5-row table.
- Convert allowlist fields (allowAgents, requireAgentId) into
  ParamField definitions.
- Convert announce-context fields into a 6-row source/field table.
- Surface the cost-budget guidance, sessions_spawn delivery-param
  exclusion, operational guidance, and the PAIRING_REQUIRED caller
  caveat as Note/Warning callouts where they were buried inline.
- Sentence-case 'Tool Policy' to 'Tool policy' (heading-case fix).
- Sentence-case 'Configuration Reference' link.
- Alphabetize the Related list and add 'Background tasks' which was
  referenced inline but missing from Related.
- Add sidebarTitle for explicit nav.

Tool surface, depth tables, slash commands, defaults, allowlist
semantics, sandbox-inheritance guard, per-depth tool policy,
auto-archive timing, announce status sourcing, sessions_history
normalization steps, concurrency lane, recovery rules, and
limitations are unchanged. Pure restructure plus Mintlify upgrades.
