Run script payloads through the shared headless code-mode executor with payload-grade budgets and success-only trigger.state persistence.
Reuse cron delivery, wake, pacing, and dangerous trigger-gate contracts for notify, wake, and nextCheck results.
Add optional per-job pacing bounds across the cron API, CLI, tool schema, public output, and SQLite job envelope, requiring at least one bound. Allow only the currently running paced job to record a one-shot next_check proposal and carry it through isolated-run completion.
After successful runs, clamp the proposal to the job bounds and persist an exact one-shot slot marker so maintenance preserves only that timestamp. Clear the marker on runs, edits, and schedule normalization; preserve existing no-proposal, skip, timeout, and error scheduling behavior.

Session rows now carry hasAutomation, derived from a lifecycle-owned index
over the cron service's in-memory jobs; cron events push refreshed rows so
badges stay live. sessions.patch { archived: true } disables enabled cron

callers only); restore intentionally does not re-enable them.

The shard shares one process; session-store state from earlier tests can make
the row load return null, which legitimately produces a keyless refresh
payload. Row-field projection stays covered by session-utils and

When llmSlug is enabled with a model override in the session-memory hook
config, that model was ignored — slug generation always resolved the
agent default model via resolveDefaultModelForAgent.
Add an optional model parameter to generateSlugViaLLM and pass
hookConfig.model from the session-memory handler. When a hook model is
provided, only the model is forwarded (provider is omitted) so
runEmbeddedAgent's built-in resolveInitialEmbeddedRunModel chain handles
alias, provider-qualified ref, and bare-name resolution through a single
source of truth — avoiding the routing drift that blocked prior PRs.

Cron agentTurn patches could clear model/fallbacks/toolsAllow overrides by
sending an explicit null, but thinking had no clear path: the patch schema and
normalizer dropped thinking:null before it reached the merge logic, and the
payload merge only handled string values. Blanking the Thinking/Effort field in
the Cron Control UI therefore silently preserved the old value.
Add thinking:null support across the patch schema, exported type, normalizer,
and payload merge (mirroring model). The Control UI now sends an explicit clear
for model/thinking when an edited job blanks a previously stored override, and
the CLI gains --clear-thinking for parity with --clear-model.
* docs(cron): document --clear-thinking beside sibling clear flags
* fix(cron): clear delivery routing fields from cron edit
cron edit could set delivery channel/to/thread-id/account but could not unset them: an empty value (e.g. --to "") builds delivery.X = undefined, which is omitted from the JSON-RPC patch, so mergeCronDelivery never sees the key and the field is silently kept. The gateway RPC already accepts an explicit null to clear each field (CronDeliveryPatchSchema + mergeCronDelivery via normalizeOptionalString); the CLI just never sent it.
Add --clear-channel/--clear-to/--clear-thread-id/--clear-account, each emitting null (mirroring the existing --clear-model), with mutual-exclusion guards against the matching set flag and against --webhook.

Use PASSIVE for periodic SQLite WAL checkpoints while keeping explicit checkpoint() and close() on TRUNCATE by default.
Preserve the old interval export as a compatibility alias, add the neutral interval export, and update the task storage docs contract.
Fixes#81715.
Add command-backed cron jobs with timeout-safe process-tree cleanup for shell wrappers. Ensures POSIX command jobs run in a killable process group, adds Windows tree cleanup fallback handling, and covers timeout cleanup behind sh -lc.
Fix cron local-model preflight fallback handling so scheduled runs try configured fallback candidates before skipping when the local primary is unavailable.
Verification:
- GitHub CI on PR head fe884dab90: passing required CI checks.
- Local focused cron/model fallback tests passed earlier for the touched surface.
- Local merge-wrapper build and check passed on the prepared candidate.
- Local full pnpm test reported unrelated failures outside this PR's touched files; touched files are limited to cron docs, src/agents/model-fallback.ts, and src/cron/isolated-agent/*.

Route cron announce topic target parsing through channel plugin target parsers instead of Telegram-specific cron core code. Keep supported Telegram topic forms in the Telegram plugin and document the channel-owned shorthand.
Summary:
