4823d7fe7b fix(security): fence external hook job name in isolated-agent prompts (#112501)
* fix(security): fence external hook job name in isolated-agent prompts

buildSafeExternalPrompt wrapped the hook message inside the external-content
boundary but placed the job name on a Task: line above it, unsanitized. The job
name comes from the same hook-controlled configuration or request data as the
message, so a crafted name could inject a forged end-marker and instruction-like
text into the trusted prompt region.

Pass the job name to wrapExternalContent as taskName so it is sanitized and
rendered as a Task: metadata line inside the boundary, matching the sender and
subject handling. Job ID and Received remain in the trusted prefix because they
are OpenClaw-generated.

* fix(security): fence external hook job name in isolated-agent prompts

Move hook-controlled job names into the existing sanitized external-content metadata boundary. Keep generated job IDs and timestamps in the trusted prefix.

Replays and narrows openclaw/openclaw#112501.

151c549494 fix(browser): uploads fail when the browser runs on a remote node (#115291)
* fix(browser): resolve upload paths on the owning browser node, not the Gateway

When a browser session is proxied to a remote node, the upload action
previously ran resolveExistingUploadPaths on the Gateway, pinning paths
to a filesystem the node cannot see and rejecting node-local files. The
node-side /hooks/file-chooser route already re-resolves paths against
its own filesystem, so skip Gateway-local resolution whenever the
request is proxied and forward the requested paths as-is.

Fixes openclaw/openclaw#115251

* fix(browser): transfer uploads to remote browser nodes

* fix(browser): normalize upload abort errors

d7627d6f4c refactor(prompt): use plain inbound context labels and drop system-tag sanitizer (#112000)
* refactor(prompt): plain inbound context labels with a provenance marker

Replaces trust-worded inbound context labels ("(untrusted metadata)",
"(untrusted, for context)") with plain labels plus a fixed provenance
marker suffix appended to every OpenClaw-injected context header.

Detection keys on the marker, not label text, so strippers stay correct
across UI, TUI, replay, /trace segmentation, memory recall, and the Swift
chat preprocessor. Drops sanitizeInboundSystemTags in favor of the marker
boundary plus trusted system-prompt narration.

Renames the untrusted-named plugin SDK context identifiers to
channel-provenance names, keeping deprecated aliases registered for
removal after 2026-09-08.

Adds `openclaw doctor --fix` migrations that rewrite legacy inbound
labels in stored SQLite transcripts and purge legacy envelope-
contaminated LanceDB recall rows.

* fix(ci): resolve gate failures for plain inbound context labels

- doctor sqlite readers: open read-only connections via openNodeSqliteDatabase
  so the Kysely connection-boundary guardrail holds; unexport the now-internal
  transcript snapshot type (Knip unused-export gate).
- compat registry: split the record table into registry-records.ts and
  plugin-sdk-subpath-records.ts. The new compat record pushed registry.ts past
  the 700-line oxlint cap; suppressions are disallowed, so follow the existing
  sibling record-module pattern. Public exports and PluginCompatCode literals
  unchanged.
- acp-runtime test: assert current finalization behavior (newline normalization
  only). The bracket de-fang and System: rewrite it expected were removed with
  sanitizeInboundSystemTags; forged system lines are neutralized at the
  system-event queue, the single chokepoint feeding the System:-per-line render.
- regenerate docs_map and the plugin SDK API baseline manifest.

* fix(prompt): harden inbound context label migration and drop in-band sanitizer

Review follow-ups on the plain-label + provenance-marker change:

- Remove src/security/system-tags.ts. Rewriting inbound text to neutralize
  look-alike `System:`/`[System]` markers corrupted legitimate user text and is
  not a real injection boundary; role separation plus external-content wrapping
  is. Explicit product decision, recorded at the system-event queue.
- Narrow the LanceDB legacy-row purge so it cannot delete benign memories. It
  now requires a complete known legacy sentinel line, a legacy label followed by
  a fenced JSON body, or the complete legacy external-content header. The prior
  predicates matched ordinary prose such as `Notes (untrusted metadata):`, and
  deletion is irreversible.
- Make explicit-empty canonical ChannelStructuredContext win over the deprecated
  alias via a present/absent result instead of collapsing `[]` to undefined.
- Keep `\r?` in the active-memory doctor rule. It is the only rule spanning the
  header's line break, migrated assistant rows skip newline normalization, and
  without it the marked-header replace wins and the body strips to empty. Added
  a CRLF regression test.
- Fix stale comments that described removed behavior, and cover the Swift
  prose-block strip path.

e26fc17c77 fix(security): report canonical agents.entries paths in audit and diagnostics (#113603)
Audit findings, dangerous-flag labels, exec-approval provenance, filesystem
policy drift, and the skill-workshop tool diagnostic printed agents.list.*
paths users cannot paste into openclaw.json: dotted agents.list.<id> is valid
in no shape, and index-keyed agents.list.<n> only names the internal
validation projection. All display surfaces now emit agents.entries.<id>;
the summary agent-id extractor regex follows the new labels. Roster-aware
builders keep an indexed fallback only for id-less malformed legacy rows,
and validation/doctor/legacy-migration paths intentionally keep the legacy
form because they point into the user's actual file. Follow-up deferred
from #113160.

e069b9dbdd fix(ui): repair settings titles, scope form-unsafe banner, consolidate advanced settings (#113160)
* feat(ui): repair settings titles, scope form-unsafe banner, consolidate advanced tier

- Advanced/Notifications settings headers rendered raw i18n keys
  (tabs.advanced/tabs.notifications); configPageTitle now resolves through
  the nav registry titleForRoute, deleting the drifting key map.
- Form-unsafe banner is value-aware (only when the user's config has a value
  at a form-unsupported path in the active scope), names the paths, offers an
  Open Raw editor action, and sits in the content column instead of full-bleed.
- Advanced tier collapses to one synced toggle: hidden advanced fields render
  a ghost row that enables the toggle; the Advanced page always reveals and
  hides the toggle; per-section details state and the controlled-open dance
  are deleted; toggle visibility mirrors the renderer's tier split.
- schema.tags no longer tags facet-less paths as "advanced" (common fields
  like update.channel wore a lying chip); the chip is no longer rendered in
  form rows while tag:advanced search keeps working.

* fix(config): dev bootstrap writes canonical agents.entries; finish stale agents.list sweep

- openclaw gateway run --dev failed on a fresh state dir: the bootstrap wrote
  the retired agents.list array and validation rejected its own config
  (Unrecognized key: list). It now writes the keyed agents.entries record;
  new dev.test.ts validates the written shape against the zod schema.
- Revive the dead gateway hot-reload rule: prefix agents.list never matched
  canonical config diffs, so per-agent heartbeat edits fell through to the
  agents:none tail rule; the rule now matches agents.entries.
- config set replacement protection moves from the dead agents.list array
  to the agents.entries map (joins plugins.entries/auth.profiles family).
- Sweep remaining stale agents.list config-path strings in hints, fix-it
  messages, elevated gates, doctor hints, audit text, and type docs to
  agents.entries.*; RPC ids, the internal list projection, and doctor
  legacy-migration references intentionally keep the old name.

* test(ui): derive nav i18n audit from route registry; fix stale bootstrap hint assertion

- Knip flagged navigationCopyEntries (test-only export); the audit now walks
  ALL_ROUTES through prod titleForRoute/subtitleForRoute and rejects raw
  dotted-key output, so no export exists solely for the test.
- commands-context-report expected the retired agents.list[] hint wording.

* fix(config): align rebase resolution with main's roster-aware diagnostic

- tool-policy-diagnostic: keep main's test expectations (dotted
  agents.entries.<id> paths from the roster-aware implementation); our
  pre-rebase bracket-style assertions no longer match any code.
- Reapply the placeholder sweep the conflict resolution dropped:
  generic agents.list[] fallbacks in tool-policy-diagnostic and the audit
  sandbox-mode hint now say agents.entries.*.

* fix(config): satisfy roster boundary type checks

* fix(agents): preserve roster ownership across runtime probes

Setup inference probes now execute as the configured roster owner. Malformed agent-prefixed session rows are intentionally omitted by the fail-closed visibility contract rather than normalized by tests.

* fix(agents): satisfy session list owner lint

* fix(agents): preserve roster-owned runtime boundaries

Restore shared logical rows for exact SQLite session locators while keeping their physical database owner separate. The ownership regression test now constructs an explicit sole-owner database directly instead of relying on first-touch capture, matching the intentional shared-store contract.

* fix(sessions): preserve multiply owned exact stores

* fix(sessions): restore runtime owner boundaries

Keep incognito sentinels agent-owned, fold default-agent approvals into the global snapshot, and preserve the configless legacy-main CLI policy fallback. Also repair the existing CLI watchdog test lifecycle so the compact shard observes its timeout without an unawaited assertion or async timer stall; product behavior is unchanged by that test-only fix.

* test(ci): align owner-scoped fixtures

These assertions are unchanged. The fixtures now declare the intended non-default runner, expose the session-key constant imported by production status code, and select the main approvals bucket explicitly on Windows.

* fix(agents): close final roster ownership gaps

e10d004257 feat(agents): mobile_ui agent tool (PR 3/3) (#112255)
* feat(agents): mobile_ui agent tool for Android UI control (PR 3/3)

Add a dedicated model-facing tool that drives another Android app through the
PR2 mobile.ui.observe/act node commands, completing the vertical slice
(agent -> tool -> node.invoke -> AccessibilityService).

- Mirrors the desktop computer tool's safety model: owner-only + HTTP-denied
  (dangerous-tools), raw node.invoke of mobile.ui.* redirected to this tool so
  the generic nodes tool cannot bypass it, run/tool-call idempotency, and the
  phone-arm workflow (mobile.ui.* must be explicitly armed).
- One call is observe or one act; every act automatically re-observes for
  postcondition verification and preserves the landed outcome if re-observe fails.
- Fail-closed confirmation: all state-changing acts (activate, set_text, tap,
  swipe) require confirmed=true after the model reviews the proposed effect;
  observe, scroll, wait, and navigation global_actions do not. The keyword list
  only enriches the confirmation message and is never the sole gate (a11y labels
  are localized/iconographic/coordinate-blind).
- Node selection resolves an explicit id against the full device set first
  (case-insensitively) and rejects an ineligible or ambiguous match, so an
  explicit selection can never be silently redirected to the wrong phone.
- All observed UI text is treated as untrusted; the tool description forbids
  following instructions found in app UI.

Additive; no protocol bump. mobile-ui-tool + registration + policy tests pass;
core tsgo and lint verified on Testbox. On-device drive is exercised via the
PR1/PR2 emulator proof; this PR is the agent-side tool + tests.

Follow-up: computer-tool.ts has the same latent node-resolution ordering bug
(explicit id searched only among eligible nodes); tracked separately.

* fix(agents,phone-control): migrate mobile_ui arming hints/tests to gateway.nodes.commands.allow

Match main's node-command arming rename (gateway.nodes.allowCommands ->
gateway.nodes.commands.allow / commands.deny): update the mobile_ui tool arm-hint
matchers to the gateway's current rejection strings and fix the phone-control /
tool tests to the current config shape. Production write path was already correct.

* fix(agents): register mobile_ui in owner-only denylist; trim phone-control under max-lines

- tool-resolution.exclude.test.ts: mobile_ui joins the owner-only core
  tools, so add it to the expected plugin/inherited denylists.
- phone-control: derive ArmGroup from a single ARM_GROUPS const and
  collapse parseGroup's ||-chain, dropping index.ts back under 700 lines.

* fix(agents): centralize mobile_ui global-action names; regenerate tool-display snapshot

- Extract GLOBAL_ACTION_NAMES const so the schema, action type, and
  validator share one source. This also removes the bare `name: "back"`
  type-annotation literal that scripts/tool-display.ts's name-regex was
  misreading as a phantom runtime tool.
- Regenerate apps/.../tool-display.json to add the mobile_ui display entry
  (was missing from the Swift snapshot).

5e51c4bbcc feat(gateway): auto-approve trusted-proxy browser device pairing (#111189)
* feat(gateway): auto-approve trusted-proxy browser device pairing

Adds gateway.auth.trustedProxy.deviceAutoApprove so team gateways behind an
identity-aware proxy (Cloudflare Access, oauth2-proxy, Pomerium) can skip the
manual `openclaw devices approve` step for new Control UI/WebChat devices.

Auto-approval fires only for a new (unpaired) operator browser device on a
connection that already passed trusted-proxy auth with a resolved allowUsers
user. Scope upgrades on existing devices and node pairing stay manual. Granted
scopes are capped to the configured set intersected with the connection's
x-openclaw-scopes proxy cap, operator.admin is rejected at config validation,
and the pairing-store approval rechecks new-device status under the store lock
so a repair/upgrade or concurrent approval can never be silently widened. Each
auto-approval emits an audit log line with the proxy user and granted scopes,
and `openclaw security audit` warns when the mode is enabled.

getSkillCodeSafetySummary still calls fs.readFile for skill content.
Every main push since fails check-prod-types/lint/test-types and the

migrating the skill read to bounded fs-safe helpers is the PR author's

c2cc95bf17 fix(security): scan SKILL.md text in skill code-safety audit (#109363)
`security audit --deep` fed only JS/TS files (SCANNABLE_EXTENSIONS) to the skill
scanner, so a malicious workspace SKILL.md (pipe-to-shell, prompt-injection,
secret-exfiltration) produced zero findings while the same patterns in a
sibling tool.js were flagged critical. The scanner already has skill-text rules
and the Workshop path scans PROPOSAL.md markdown — the installed/workspace-skill
audit just skipped the markdown.

Scan each audited skill's SKILL.md content through scanSkillContent + scanSource
(the same scanners the Workshop uses), scoped to the skills audit path so the
global directory scanner is unchanged (no README/doc false positives).

a97bdfb687 feat(agents): narrow gateway tool to read-only config
Phase 3 of #107237. Removes config.apply/config.patch/restart from the
regular-agent gateway tool (mirroring Phase 2's update.run removal); only
config.get and config.schema.lookup reads remain. Persistent config changes
and restarts now go exclusively through the human-approved openclaw
delegation path — closing the last unmediated agent config-write surface.
gateway stays owner-only/control-plane gated (config reads expose secrets and
host topology). Legacy setups can re-enable writes via the existing per-agent
tool allowlist; no new config key. Net -2271 LOC.

b1f4aac349 feat(agents): OpenClaw system-agent delegation
New openclaw delegation tool relays to openclaw.chat in-process; persistent
writes surface through the existing durable operator-approval registry as a
third system-agent kind (no parallel store), armed only by a human operator
in the Control UI — a delegated agent can never self-approve. Setup wizards
(channel/model/open-setup/open-tui) are refused in delegated mode so a
machine agent cannot complete setup or persist credentials unattended.
Vendor-neutral inference fallback ladder (requester route first, then other
authed providers by provider id). update.run removed from the gateway tool.
Caveman system-prompt fragment steers config/channels/plugins/agents/updates
to the openclaw tool. Doctor-owned state migration widens the approval-kind
constraint; runtime stays canonical-only.

e905a682f7 feat(agents): session self-service tools
New grouped sessions tool (patch: label/pin/archive/model/thinking; group
CRUD; owner-gated; no reset/delete/compact). sessions_spawn gains visible +
worktree via sessions.create with admission reservation and abort-confirmed
rollback; a started run with no run id is aborted and deleted rather than
left orphaned. subagents tool reads the unified task_runs ledger tree-scoped
(subagent/acp/media/cron) and cancels detached runs, enforcing the
controlScope gate for leaf callers. session_status gains a cost line.
Agent-origin model patches record a fallback marker; runs failing on
auth/billing/model_not_found revert to the last working model (transient
errors never revert), and an independent thinkingLevel change realigns the
marker so revert cannot clobber it.

6b95f98fe7 fix(core): make indexed access explicit across remaining src (NUIA phase 3b) (#104773)
* fix(core): make indexed access explicit in auto-reply, infra, and config

Part 1/3 of the src NUIA phase-3b burn-down (#104600): iteration and
destructuring over index reads, boundary guards on parsed input, and
named invariants. Config path walkers bind the path head once; SQLite
migration key handling is hoisted without query-shape changes.

* fix(core): make indexed access explicit in cli, gateway, commands, security, shared

Part 2/3: argv/token selection restructured, gateway event/attachment
invariants named, security parsers stay fail-closed (invariant
violations throw), edit-distance matrices access checked entries.

* fix(core): make indexed access explicit across remaining src surfaces

Part 3/3: channels, plugins, process, cron, plugin-sdk, media, logging,
tui, hooks, daemon, and small directories. Latent bug fixed: a tailnet
resolver could leak undefined through a string|null contract and now
fails with a descriptive local error.

* fix(core): keep optional boundaries optional after per-commit review

Review findings: expectDefined misused where absence is a legitimate
state. CLI --profile/route-args missing next tokens take their existing
miss paths; help normalization compares --help against the last
positional again; first-time plugin install spreads absent cfg.plugins;
denylist scan iterates manifest dependency entries instead of throwing
on omitted sections; tailnet resolver returns a guaranteed string at
the source instead of a caller-side undefined throw.

* refactor(core): closed-key provider labels and honest optional passthroughs

PROVIDER_LABELS becomes a satisfies-typed closed record (static reads
provably defined; dynamic lookups go through providerUsageLabel with
honest string|undefined). Status-scan overview passes its optional
params through unchanged instead of asserting them.

* fix(channels): make getChatChannelMeta honestly optional

The original signature claimed ChatChannelMeta while leaking undefined
on bundled channel id metadata drift; three of four callers already
handled absence. The return type now says so, and the one assuming
caller falls back to the raw channel label.

* fix(core): index-safety for post-rebase main drift

Covers the sqlite-sessions flip and auth-source-plan code that landed
mid-phase, plus the channel-validation test consuming the now honestly
optional getChatChannelMeta.

* refactor(channels): split chat-meta accessors along the SDK contract

getChatChannelMeta keeps its shipped plugin-SDK signature (defined for
bundled ids, fail-loud on impossible misses); new findChatChannelMeta
carries the drift-tolerant optional contract for core auto-enable and
formatting paths.

* fix(qa-channel): own channel metadata instead of a guaranteed-undefined catalog lookup

qa-channel spread getChatChannelMeta over an id that is never in the
bundled catalog, shipping an empty setup meta by accident; the fail-loud
SDK accessor exposed it. The channel now declares its metadata once.

* fix(gateway): heartbeat projection lookahead is optional at the transcript tail

expectDefined wrapped messages[i + 1] whose absence on the final message
is the normal case; the adjacent ternary already handled it. Restores
the plain optional read with an explicit guard in the pair condition.

* fix(plugin-sdk): channel plugin factory tolerates non-bundled channel ids again

createChannelPluginBase spreads bundled catalog meta for ANY channel id,
where absence is the normal case for external plugins; the resolver is
honestly optional again while the exported bundled-id accessor keeps the
fail-loud contract.

* fix(core): spreads of optional config sections stay optional

Fresh-setup and first-install paths (crestodian setup inference, hook
installs, agent config base, target agent models) legitimately lack the
section being rebuilt; spreading undefined is the shipped {} semantics.
Removes the remaining gratuitous assertion wraps found by tree audit.
